Emma’s House creates safe space for child victims to tell their story

“We decided we can do better in Ravalli County,” recalls Widmer.

We are delighted to share news of an exciting fundraiser in the works, a smashing sequel to what we affectionately referred to in 2019 as Ryan’s Run, officially known as 50 Miles for Child Advocacy. In the original, Ryan Tellock completed this amazing feet raising over $11,000 for Emma’s House. This July, the incredible Ryan Tellock is committed to running 100 miles! No typo there, and yes, all in one day!

Our fabulous counselor extraordinaire, Amy Rau, is back at Emma’s House! She has so much experience and expertise to offer the kids and families in our community. We’re just thrilled to have her with us again!

She envisioned accomplishing this by making way for more fun and games including iPads and therapeutic play activities. Thank you dearly Michelle Needles! 

Former Hamilton businessman Dennis Borkholder takes his first step toward a 100-year sentence in the Montana State Prison. Ravalli County District Judge Jennifer Lint sentenced Borkholder Thursday for sexually assaulting two girls over a seven-year period in Hamilton. Perry Backus, Ravalli Republic

Warm bundle of handcrafted blankets and hats, one of many kind donations, arrived yesterday. Each child who visits Emma’s House is offered a blanket, which most often results in a smile. These handmade ones seem to have extra comforting effects. Thanks to all the kind hearted who continual keep our stores well stocked!
